Johnson and Richart Receive PCI Hall of Fame Awards

The Powder Coating Institute (PCI) honored Chuck Johnson and Doug Richart with PCI Hall of Fame Awards at the 2003 annual meeting, held May 12-14 in Henderson, NV.
Mr. Richart started his career in the powder coatings industry in 1960 with Polymer Corp., where he worked as group leader in the powder coating division and later was appointed technical director. He has received 17 patents and has written more than 50 articles and technical papers on powder coatings technology. He has been an active member of PCI for many years. Mr. Richart retired from Morton Powder Coatings in 1994, but has continued to serve as a consultant.
The late Mr. Johnson was considered a pioneer in the powder coatings industry. He began working for Ferro Corp. in 1972 and was one of the charter members who founded PCI in 1981. He held several offices including, vice president, president and chairman of the PCI technical committee.
